Penny`s Diner in Yuma

The fries and tots are great. Best I ever had. That was it. The chili dogs where really bad.

Just went in here for breakfast, upon entering was told to “Get out and wait outside”, after waiting in the porch area I checked to see if there was a note I’d missed relating to Covid and having to wait to be seated but there was none, I then waited for 5 minutes for service but no one came so left. As an aside the place itself on the inside is extremely grotty and the kitchen area looked to be in filthy condition so relieved not to have to eat here, avoid.

The waitress was a lovely lady and the food was good. The meatloaf was moist and delicious; the chicken fried steak 😋👌. Serving sizes were large. We left with 🐕 doggy bags (excuse me people bags 🤫). Will return again. 🤗

I experienced terrible service today! I ordered a to go order that I order on a regular basis. Not only was I overcharged but I also wasn’t given what I ordered because apparently they ran out of some of the things I wanted in my food they also didn’t have any plastic ware. The hosted that helped me made me feel like it was my fault and basically told me I still getting something. And continued to process my money without trying to do something to help me me. Made me feel like I was nothing but another dollar. I will find another mom and pop shop worthy of my money because clearly penny’s has lowered their standards. Extremely disappointed. BEWARE OF BAD SERVICE.

I love places with a sassy wait staff. Penny's delivers on that 50's vibe with food that is out of this world. Malts! Do it! So good. Also you can get Tater Tots here. Next time we come through we're stopping by again.

Maria is the rudest waitress/counter person she treats people rudely and disrespectful to paying customers.. she definitely could use a lesson in manners. Will not be going back

I had the triple-decker sandwich and it was absolutely outstanding. This is what you call an old-fashioned Diner that have since long become extinct. This is the diner that you would have seen in the 1960s. If you live in Yuma Arizona or if you're passing through, I strongly recommend that you stop by and give this place a chance. If I lived here in Yuma, this would be my go-to place for sure. Don't miss out!!

Great diner in Yuma. Stopped for some comfort food and 5hats what they had. Everyone was pleased with their meal. Would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Old school little diner with a lot of history on its walls. Love how welcoming and nice the servers are. Not to mention the food! All traditional old school diner dishes, which are delicious by the way. Very good place for anytime of the day. I love it!

Great food at a reasonable price. Not only that it's kind of a cool place. Nice and Cydney is a great server.

Well, this was a welcome surprise! I don't normally like skillets but there's is wonderful! They take the time to make all the ingredients separate and then mix together so you know everything is cooked good and crispy. Plus, the lady helping behind the counter was so sweet and understands the need for coffee! Oh, and the rye bread was good. 5 stars!

Exceptional great menu, something for everyone. Close to hotels Yuma Palms shopping , easy access to Hwy8 and 95. Good parking very reasonable prices. Fast service

Service so slow we finally left. One sweaty waitress and one sweaty cook. Both overwhelmed by 5 tables. 4 did come in close together, but seriously?Can't rate the food. Never got any. Not even water.

Busy little place. I think they have outgrown this little trailer. Food was great, friendly staff. They looked in need of busting tables. Plates all over, when they say take a seat, you dont know if people left. No structure on who is next in line. They did it though. Everyone was doing 3 jobs. Pretty impressive to watch. My only regret was eating here on the last day. I would have gone back.

I always love the food and atmosphere here. It is a diner, so don't expect filet mignon. My favorite thing used to be the milkshakes. But I recently discovered the banana splits. I love sharing them.

Decent burger and good shake. Nice place to stop when on a trip. people were friendly.

The ambiance is the first thing you notice going into Penny's. It's a great 50's style place. The decor is cute and the music from the times is cheerful and pleasant. Food is classic American Dinner food. We went when it was a little shorthanded but our waitress was AMAZING! she handled it all and It was not a slow night. The cook cranked out the orders quickly and everything was delicious! We definitely will be going back!

Driving through Yuma? Cracker Barrel a half hour wait? Hit Penny's. Excellent diner. Fun staff. These folks are amazing how fast they crank it out. All on the grill and fryer right in front of you. Great dinner food.

Classical diner, with quick service and a big menu with typical Americana stuff. Enjoyed the classic breakfast (eggs, bacon, hash browns and a pancake), and had a root beer float that was very tasty as well. Interior and exterior are interesting, definitely a nostalgic throwback.

I had the Bacon Burger with Frys Very Good, my friend had the Ruben with onion rings and said it was Excellent and that's high praise for him to say it. It was very busy and the floor was a mess at our table from the kid or kids that were there before us. The waitress was great.

Good food and a quaint atmosphere A place where you can get a cup ofcoffe and breakfast, lunch or dinners. The Sarge and I enjoyed breakfast eggs, bacon, hash browns and coffee. Yummy. Pretty busy little place.

Ordered off the dinner menu. The western burger with fries, the party melt with tater tots and the kids chicken fingers with fries. The food tastes good, not great and the portions were so small for the price. We will not be ordering dinner there again, but we will go back to check out their breakfast menu. Hopefully it won't be as disappointing as their dinner.

Always friendly staff and delicious food 24 hours a day. Hash browns are crispy and the pancakes cant be beat. We have been coming here for 5 years and still like to enjoy it once a quarter or so.

"Never before and never again" -Marilyn Monroe quote on the wall of the diner. Coffee never refilled, food wasn't good. Out of corned beef for the Reuben my girlfriend wanted... The only thing she wanted. Nice that it's open late, staff decently friendly. Other costumers were mostly drunk and obscene.

Service was grand. Simply grand. Cannot say enough about the waitress who helped us. The food, it was ok. Good, not great. Tasty, just expected better more flavorful . They have two tables outside in the back, we took ok very one cause of our dog. The waitress took the order to go and then brought it out to us. Way nice person.

This place is pretty good! It’s like if you were to make a burger at home on the grill yourself. Homemade feeling food. Not the best service as there was only 1 server for the whole restaurant, but I liked the food!

Fun 50's vibe. This carefully decorated dinner evokes the days of Bobby sox, poodle skirts, pony tails, and drive ins. You can get a chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla shake or malted! Yes! They actually make malts! The makes are served in an old fashioned sundae glass along with the remainder in metal cannister. This diner is really carefully constructed with great attention to detail. It's sparkling clean. The waitress are friendly and fun and very helpful. They know a lot of their customers by name and, I noticed, knew their usual order. This speaks well of the place because it means locals dine here regularly. The fries are crispy and hot and plentiful. The food is tasty. Great place.

I’m so happy we stumbled upon Penny’s! This place is so cute, the staff is fantastic and the food is amazing. I’ll be making this my spot on my way through Yuma from here on out!

Nothing special here, average food, too expensive for what you get. The server was on top of service, she gets 5 stars. The cook, not so good, over med. eggs were hard, crispy hash browns weren't crispy and their toaster barely toasts the bread. This was our second visit, won't be back.

As always we enjoyed our food and experience. The staff is great. Maria, Korina, Mariah, and Robin are the best, also Richard. Word to the new manager, you cant afford to keep losing great staff because of your attitude. These people we work hard and are a staple at Penny's. Loose more staff and the place might not make it. We follow the great service. Maybe Brownies.

Food was ok, a little greasy. Service was pretty good. The biggest reason I would not recommend is because I watched the waitress serve a table, clean off two tables with gloves on then went over put bread in the toaster same gloves on , go check someone out, then brought us our food. Never changed her gloves. They do not follow cdc guidelines

The food was fine, if not small servings. The service was terrible. Waited 5 min first a during order, an other 5 for delivery, 10 min more for our food order to be taken. Then it sat in the "window" for another 10 till finally the cook delivered. No toast, no cheese, no butter, no syrup.I would give less *'s if it let me.DO NOT GO HERE, unless you are a regular...

Classic diner, all the way from the classic chrome exterior to the milkshakes, diner bar you can sit and watch the cook from, to burgers and sandwiches and salads. Price for the "all day burger" which was a party melt with an egg was a tad bit high for what you got, but it's not a terrible deal. It's a somewhat solid alternative to Denny's.
